Dr. Chandrasekhar Dhar, aged 58 years, is one of the leading Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement surgeons in the city. He has been one of the very successful Joint Replacement Surgeons in the state. An MBBS from Calcutta University and FRCS(Edin) from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, Dr. Dhar have been practicing Orthopaedics & Trauma surgery for last 32 years and has done Basic, Primary, Advance, different Complex and Master AO Courses. Now he is Faculty of different AO Courses including Advance one. He has been conducting joint replacement surgery for the past 22 years, bringing in the most modern expertise from UK (8 years training of which 2 years in Joint Replacement), AUSTRALIA in 2005, GERMANY and ITALY in 2007, Thailand in 2009 & 2010, USA in 2012. He has completed advance course, Workshop and practical Training in most modern Joint Replacement Surgery in these countries.

He has presented various lectures on Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement Surgery at both local & national courses and conferences. A member of Indian Orthopedic Association ( IOA ), West Bengal Orthopaedic Association ( WBOA ), West Bengal Arthroplasty Society ( WBAS), Indian Society of Hip Knee Surgeons ( ISHKS ), Indian Medical Association ( IMA ) and Indian Arthroscopy Society ( IAS ), Dr. Dhar is committed to spread awareness of Orthopaedic surgery, specially Jointly Replacement Surgery in the State dispelling all the myths associated to it. He was Founder Secretary(2005 – 2009) and President(2011 – 2013) of West Bengal Arthroplasty Society.

Dr. Dhar has come a long way from tutoring junior doctors appearing for various post graduation examinations in India and abroad. Presently he is Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh appointed Examiner for MRCS and Tutor for Basic surgical skill course in India.

Dr. Dhar, while specializes in Joint Replacement surgery, at leisure time he takes a keen interest in music and traveling. His Fitness exercises includes Some of the Cardiovascular exercises and Swimming.
